| A Huge Thank You from Hallmark Homes to YOU! |
|
Well it is now over. In just one week we tore down the Cowan-Brown home and built them a new home. We just wanted to personally thank you for your help and support. It was a truly inspiring week. The week started in rain and ended in rain. In between there was mud, and occasional glimpses of sunshine. Due to the severe weather at the start of the build we were behind schedule from the first day. With such a short build schedule, getting off schedule was a severe setback. Our solution was to call for more help. When we needed volunteers, volunteers showed up. With so much help we made up lost time fast. The examples of good deeds and giving are too numerous to list. Everyone responded to our needs with a "can do" spirit and attitude. It was incredible. We want to give a special thank you to those of you who showed up to volunteer and did not get into the house or did not receive a call at all. You are the unsung heroes! You were backing up each of the volunteers on the house and were crucial to the process of building a house in 106 hours. Because of you we had the courage to move forward knowing back up was just a call away. Thank you so much.
This last Tuesday we presented the Cowan-Brown Family with their new home. It was such an amazing thing to see the expressions on their faces when they saw their new home for the very first time. We are personally very proud of what the people of Indiana and beyond accomplished in this one very hectic week of challenges and victories. To organize and coordinate the building of a home in just 106 hours is a monumental task, that no one person or one company could do it alone.
Through all of last week’s challenges the one thing that stands out most in our minds is high spirits and cheer of everyone we encountered. We were all tired, wet, dirty, cold, and yet still persevered.
Again, thank you for all your support and help,
Derek Wilder, CEO
